SUMMARY:Feron at CyberICPS 2026/ESORICS 2026
DESCRIPTION:Feron will present the paper “Zero Trust Blind Exposure: Predictive Orbital Forecasting and Blockchain Secured Routing for Space Air Ground Integrated Networks” (authored by Alexandros Fakis and Konstantinos Maliatsos) at CyberICPS 2026 (the 12th Workshop on the Security of Industrial Control Systems and of Cyber-Physical Systems)\, held together with ESORICS 2026 (the 31st European Symposium on Research in Computer Security). \nThe paper proposes a unified\, blockchain anchored zero trust framework for 6G Space Air Ground Integrated Networks (SAGIN)\, combining three elements: mobility driven trust decay tailored to each network segment (satellite\, UAV\, terrestrial)\, deterministic prediction of trust staleness using SGP4 orbital propagation so that satellite and UAV handovers can be pre authorized before they occur\, and smart contract enforced routing that will act on these forecasts across the network. \nThe concept is directly connected to CASTOR as it addresses the same underlying problem of establishing verifiable\, evidence-based trust for devices and nodes operating in dynamic\, multi-segment supply and communication chains\, an idea that parallels CASTOR’s work on collecting and certifying security-relevant evidence about connected devices. \nThe paper will report that the framework will reduce trust blind exposure at handovers from 40 seconds to effectively zero under accurate forecasting and will improve packet delivery ratio under attack from 0.486 to 0.779 when half the nodes in the network are malicious. The paper was accepted for publication in the workshop’s Springer LNCS proceedings.
